Product Overview
Paragon Xpress-E-12A Digital Kiln — Precision Firing for Jewelry, Glass, and Metal Clay
The Paragon Xpress-E-12A is a versatile, front-loading digital kiln designed for artists, jewelers, and hobbyists working with silver clay, bronze clay, copper enameling, glass fusing, china painting, ceramics, lost wax casting, and more. With a maximum firing temperature of 2000°F (1093°C), this compact kiln delivers consistent, professional-quality results for small keepsakes like jewelry, pendants, bowls, and decorative art pieces.
Featuring the advanced Sentry Xpress 3-key digital controller integrated into the kiln base, the Xpress-E-12A offers flexible firing options, including Single Speed and an 8-segment Ramp-Hold mode. Program up to 4 firing sequences, adjust temperatures mid-cycle, and customize soak (hold) times to enhance color saturation and firing precision. Safety is prioritized with a door switch that cuts power to the element when the door opens, resuming automatically when closed.
Built with 2 ½” thick insulating firebricks, the kiln efficiently retains heat for slow, controlled cooling—perfect for glass annealing and copper enameling projects. Its durable high-nickel stainless steel thermocouple and heavy-duty ½” hinge shaft ensure long-lasting, reliable operation. The kiln interior is spacious enough to accommodate a 10” bronze clay container and includes a vent hole for lost wax casting or venting combustible fillers.

Thermocouple with “special limit” wireThe thermocouple senses temperature inside the kiln. It is the small rod that extends into the firing chamber. The ¼” wide Type-K, 14-gauge, exposed-tip thermocouple is made with special-limit wire for superior accuracy. The exposed tip gives the controller a fast response time for even temperatures during holds. The thermocouple is made in America to our exacting standards. |
Designed for productionParagon’s warranty is not affected by frequency of use. Fire your new kiln every day if you want, even in commercial settings. That will have no effect on the warranty period. |
