This unit will be the next generation of kiln controllers with its modern and intuitive user platform. We design, manufacture and sell all of our controllers with our customers at the forefront of that process and we insist on procedures and systems to continue to be a reliable and consistent resource for artists. The control strategies that have produced so many successful firings with Bartlett controllers will only be enhanced by this new format of display and user interface.

Sentry 3.0 12-Key

Paragon digital kilns are powered by either the 12-key Sentry digital temperature controller or the smaller 3-key Sentry Xpress. These advanced controllers are the result of intensive design effort between Paragon Industries, L.P. and the controller manufacturer, the Orton Ceramic Foundation. The controllers add convenience and repeatable accuracy to your firings.

Owning a Sentry is like hiring an assistant to watch your kiln. Nevertheless, please remember that you should monitor the kiln occasionally during firing, especially near the expected shut-off. (We do not warrant against over-fires.)

Sentry 5.0 3-Key

We simplify high-temperature firings so you can immerse yourself in creating breathtaking ware. The powerful little Sentry Xpress 5.0 micro processor is packed with features. On ceramic kilns, the controller includes Cone-Fire and 20-segment Ramp-Hold modes to give you amazing flexibility in firing your kiln.

Cone-Fire mode fires your clay and glazes to a pyrometric cone. Simply enter the recommended cone number and a firing speed of Fast, Medium, or Slow. Let the controller do the thinking for you. Ramp-Hold mode lets you program custom firings with up to 20 steps, or segments. Fire exotic glazes such as crystallines, or slow the cooling to enhance certain glazes. Enjoy brilliant colors that were once thought impossible in electric firing. Use Ramp-Hold for glass fusing, bead annealing, and customized ceramic firing.
