Product Overview

Paragon KM36Pro Double Barrel – 36" Multizone Knife Heat Treating Furnace with Ceramic Fiber Chamber

The Paragon KM36Pro Double Barrel is a high-performance, professional-grade heat treating oven built for serious bladesmiths and knife makers. With its 36-inch chamber depth, three-zone temperature control, and ceramic fiber interior, this kiln is designed for fast, precise, and efficient thermal processing of longer blades and tools.

Built for Speed and Precision

The ceramic fiber firing chamber enables ultra-fast heating and cooling, reaching 500°F in just minutes. It’s paired with long-life wavy heating elements mounted on the walls for even heat distribution and faster dissipation, extending element life and reducing energy loss.

  • Max Temperature: 2350°F (1287°C)

  • Chamber Dimensions: 36" D x 13.25" W x 5.25" H

  • Construction: 2.5" thick space-age ceramic fiber insulation

  • Voltage/Power: 240V | Solid state relay with aluminum heat sink

  • Thermocouples: 3x Type-K, 14-gauge, exposed-tip, special-limit wire for ultra-precise multizone control

Intelligent, Durable Control & Construction

The solid-state relay (SSR) ensures silent operation and enhanced temperature stability during long holds, unlike traditional mechanical relays. A built-in safety relay adds redundancy and peace of mind.

  • Guillotine door opens with one hand and stays safely out of the way

  • Micro safety switch shuts off heating elements when the door opens, while controller display remains active

  • Heavy-duty frame and integrated stand protect components in demanding shop environments

  • Thermocouple wires are safely enclosed to prevent damage during daily use

Optional Upgrades & Customizations

  • Gas Injection Flow Meter (optional): Injects inert gas (like argon) to displace oxygen and reduce oxidation/scaling during heat treating

  • Custom Paint Colors: Choose your finish at no extra cost—standard black or a variety of optional shades

The KM36Pro is ideal for knife makers who need precision, durability, and space. Whether you're heat treating long swords, multiple blades, or specialty tooling steels, this Paragon furnace delivers consistent, professional results for years to come.
