Product Overview
Paragon CS14S Clam Shell Glass Fusing Kiln
Paragon’s CS14S Clam Shell Glass Fusing Kiln operates on a standard household outlet and fires up to nine 4” x 4” glass tiles. Imagine the murals you could make with this kiln.
Fire small glass bowls, pendants, earrings, cufflinks, and even bracelets. Try out the newest glass techniques. Enjoy adding glittering dichroic glass to your work of art. Make gifts that your loved ones will enjoy for generations. When you own a Paragon CS14S Clam Shell Glass Fusing Kiln, you can experiment with glass fusing to your heart’s content.
The CS14S Clam Shell Glass Fusing Kiln heats from the top for even heat distribution across the glass surface. The lid elements are mounted in pinless element grooves. Element pins are no longer needed because the element coils are wider than the groove opening. This helps eliminate dust in the firing chamber.
The Lid of the Paragon CS14S Clam Shell Glass Fusing Kiln lifts up for easy access
The walls and top, as a single unit, lift up and out of the way so you can assemble glass pieces inside the kiln. Add stringers and frit to delicate designs, often without using glue. When the kiln shelf is loaded and you are ready to fire, lower the kiln in place.
The kiln is easy to open because of two counter-weight springs mounted under the kiln. The kiln base extends 4” in the back to support the weight of the kiln when in the open position. The base comes with mar-proof rubber feet.
The Paragon CS14S Clam Shell (single opening) top and kiln walls are one unit. If you need the version with a separate lid, please see the CS14D (double opening).
Reliability at the Heart of the Kiln
You will be amazed at the sturdy construction that has made Paragon kilns renowned. The painted steel case covers the sides and top of the kiln. The Paragon CS14S Clam Shell Glass Fusing Kiln has a two-year warranty. A heavy steel base supports the reversible brick bottom completely. These features are extra assurance that your Paragon kiln is built to last. No extra stand is needed.
For your convenience, flip the switch on the front panel to turn off the power to the controller when the kiln is not in use. The large, comfortable wooden handle stays cool.
Thermocouple with “special limit” wire
The thermocouple senses the temperature inside the kiln. It is the small rod that extends into the firing chamber. The ¼” wide Type-K, 14-gauge, exposed-tip thermocouple is made with special-limit wire for superior accuracy. The exposed tip gives the controller a fast response time for even temperatures during holds. The thermocouple is made in America to our exacting standards.
Designed for production
Paragon’s warranty is not affected by the frequency of use. Fire your new Paragon CS14S Clam Shell Glass Fusing Kiln every day if you want, even in commercial settings. That will have no effect on the warranty period.
