Product Overview
Evenheat V8 Vitrigraph Kiln
You just found the ultimate Vitrigraph kiln. The Evenheat V8 was designed specifically as a vitrigraph kiln with features found nowhere else.
Vitrigraph is the term used to describe the process of heating glass to a molten state and allowing it to exit the floor of the kiln where it is collected and manipulated by the user. To accomplish this, a vitrigraph kiln is elevated to a point where the user has open and easy access to the glass exiting the kiln bottom.
The V8 is built with an 8" x 8" chamber that positions the thermocouple out of the way so pots as large as 7-1/2" in diameter can be used. The glass exit point is sized for reliable and easy access to pull cane.
Controls are placed in a pivoting enclosure which allows you to rotate the control up and down for perfect viewing whether you're down-low, in the middle or up-high.
Our stand-alone stand includes a tool shelf and rod/cane holder for that extra hand you always wish you had. They also include a thoughtful power cord catch that keeps the power cord safe and out of the way.
The V8 Vitrigraph is designed in a stackable format. This allows the artist to easily move the V8 from storage to stand, and back again, in a matter of minutes.
Stackable also makes positioning the kiln that much easier as each piece is placed independently.
The V8 Vitrigraph is standard equipped with our Quiet Drive Solid State Relay.

Our Quiet Drive Solid State Relay System offers tight temperature control, high reliability and increased heating element life. The Quiet Drive is arguably the best designed and best performing solid state system on the market.
The V8 incorporates our Relay Access Port for simple, no-panel-off relay replacement.
Simply remove the access plate to gain access to the mechanical relay. There's no need to remove the control panel and dig into the internal wiring. It's absolutely simple and effective and all it takes is a screwdriver!
It's a given that mechanical relays will fail at some point. This relay access port really comes in handy when they do.
Firebrick Construction
The V8 Vitrigraph is constructed entirely of firebrick. Any repairs are easy, possible and reasonably inexpensive.
The same can be said of the heating element. Easy enough to remove and easy enough to replace all without breaking the bank.
Our kilns are designed to allow for easy maintenance and repair without major hassle or cost. The V8 is no different.
V8 Vitrigraph Floor
The V8 Vitrigraph floor includes a large 2-3/4" hole machined into the base to act as the glass exit point for vitrigraph work and offers plenty of room for tools.
**Extra base floor available with no hole if desired or can be built without a hole**
Vitrigraph Pots up to 7 1/2" in Diameter
Usable floor space is always good and the V8 offers the most usable floor space of kilns this size. This extra usable floor space is made possible by positioning the thermocouple (temperature sensor) at the corner of the chamber as opposed to the flat side.
Vitrigraph pots up to 7-1/2" diameter can be used. This means more volume per session without the re-load and wait. Pot size is no small detail and we're pleased to offer more room.
Swing View Equipped
V8 temperature controls are fitted to our Swing View Adjustable Enclosure.
The swing view is a pivoting, swing-up enclosure that allows you to rotate the control to a comfortable viewing and programming angle.
The swing view pairs well with touchscreen controls like the TAP II, Icon+ and Icon as viewing angle can be perfectly aligned. You'll love it.
Vitrigraph kilns and controls are often placed above eye level making the controls more difficult to see and use. Not anymore.
We modified our swing view feature on the V8 Vitrigraph to allow the control to also swing downward for easier use when the V8 is elevated.
This is our favorite feature! It just makes so much sense and works so well.
120v Standard Plug
The V8 Vitrigraph operates from 120V and is equipped with a standard North American 120V plug. Connection is very easy.
We do allow the use of extension cords to provide power to the V8. This is particularly useful as vitrigraph kilns are generally in stands or are elevated. We do require use of extension cords that are at least a #12AWG and 12 foot (4m) or less. They must also be of the 3 wire, grounded style.
We do make the V8 Vitrigraph in global voltages as well, by request.
We do offer to build in 100V, 200V, 208V, 220V, 230V and 240V by request.
All controls available on the V8 Vitrigraph will operate properly on both 50Hz and 60Hz line frequencies. To say it another way, line frequency has no effect. It doesn't matter.
Evenheat recommends that you check your operating voltage before ordering or placing the kiln in service.
The V8 Vitrigraph is produced in a single phase design only.
3 phase Delta and Y (380V, 400V and 415V) designs are not available.

V8 Vitrigraph Stand
Welcome to the finest vitrigraph stand on the planet.
The V8 stand-alone stand was designed from the ground up to offer helpful features including a tool rest, rod/cane holder and power cord catch. All of which you need and all found right here.
The Evenheat V8 stand-alone stand offers 14-1/2" of distance between the glass exit point and the stand upright. Room enough to pull cane but also room enough to lay glass-on-glass which is literally vitrigraph. There's lots of room here to create.
The V8 stand-alone stand also provides 37-1/2" between the glass exit point and the stand base. More opportunity to create.
Hand's down, Evenheat's V8 vitrigraph stand-alone stand is the finest vitrigraph stand available.
V8 Vitrigraph Wall-Mounted Stand
Need more vertical room to create? The V8 vitrigraph wall-mounted stand allows you to position the stand on a wall surface at the height you desire.
Based on the same sturdy platform as our stand-alone model, the wall-mounted V8 vitrigraph stand allows you to position your V8 stand on a wall for increased length of pull and flexibility.
The wall-mounted stand shares the same 14-1/2" distance between the glass exit point and wall as the the standing model. The wall-mounted stand also shares the power cord catch designed to keep the power cord well out of your way.
The downward positioning feature of the swing view control really comes in handy when using the wall-mounted stand.
As a bonus, the wall-mounted V8 stand folds down against the wall when not in use!
