Product Overview

Copper Annealing Kiln

The Evenheat Copper Annealing Kiln is a compact, versatile solution designed for beginners, small studios, and artists exploring high-temperature materials. With its 120V operation and standard household plug (also available in 240V), the Copper is exceptionally user-friendly and fits seamlessly into home studios and classrooms. This kiln excels in annealing and offers full capability for a wide range of techniques, including glasswork, metal clays, ceramics, china painting, and porcelain, with a maximum temperature of 2200°F (1204°C).

Built entirely from durable firebrick and enclosed in a robust full stainless steel jacket, the Copper ensures excellent temperature distribution and long-lasting performance. Its front-loading design features a Cool-Touch handle for safe, convenient access, while the innovative corner mounting technique enhances structural reliability for years of worry-free use. The kiln’s Swing View control system provides optimal viewing angles for its multiple control options, including the standard Icon controller, Rampmaster 3, Icon +, and the top-of-the-line TAP II controller.

The Copper’s chamber size, measuring 10" W x 6.5" H x 9" D (0.34 cubic feet), accommodates a variety of materials and projects, with enough space to support pots and shelves up to 7.25" square. The kiln also includes a sturdy stand, making it perfect for tabletop use. Additionally, it now comes standard with Evenheat's Quite Drive Solid State Relay for tighter temperature control and extended element life. The Copper is the ideal kiln for versatile, high-temperature applications.

Whether annealing, firing metal clays, or working with ceramics and glass, the Evenheat Copper Kiln delivers exceptional reliability and performance. It's time for you to discover the reliability, versatility, and ease of use that make the Evenheat Copper Annealing Kiln a favorite for artists, instructors, and small studios alike.

Front Access

The defining feature of the Studio Pro design is its front access. Simply lift the chamber to expose the entire floor. It's wall-free and wide open.

Front access is perfect for copper and annealing placement: simply build directly on your shelf and close the chamber. Front access is also great when using tools that require a horizontal approach such as raking, roll ups and manipulation techniques.

Full Firebrick Design

The Copper is constructed completely of firebrick including the lid.

Firebrick is desired in a glass kiln as it stores heat in the beginning of the firing which acts to smooth out temperature swings. It then releases heat slowly at the completion of the firing resulting in very calm annealing, especially over an annealing range. It's just beautiful.

As with any glass kiln, you want a portion of firebrick in the mix.

Cool Touch Handle

The Copper features a thoughtfully designed, easy-to-operate door handle positioned at the front for convenient access. This spring-loaded phenolic handle remains cool to the touch, enabling safe, one-handed operation. Serving as both the handle and the latch, it ensures the door stays securely closed while offering a clean, user-friendly design that enhances your experience.

Corner Mounting Technique

The kiln's corners provide superior structural strength compared to flat sides, making them the ideal location for mounting load-bearing hinge brackets. This design ensures enhanced durability and reliability, delivering a robust kiln construction built to last.

Excellent Temperature Distribution

Evenheat glass kilns live up to their reputation for outstanding temperature uniformity, and the Copper is no exception. Expertly designed for consistent performance, this kiln ensures reliable and even heating, making it a dependable choice for your projects.

Front Access

The Copper features a durable front-loading design, a hallmark of annealing ovens. Built to withstand frequent use, the door is expertly engineered to remain sturdy, travel smoothly, and maintain its reliability for the lifetime of the kiln.

Full Stainless Jacket

While multi-section kilns may reduce manufacturing costs, they often compromise quality—a trade-off we refuse to make. The Copper kiln is constructed with a full stainless steel jacket from top to bottom and front to back, ensuring unmatched durability and longevity. This design eliminates leaks, shifting, buckling, and weaknesses, providing a solid and reliable kiln built to last. Choose a full stainless jacket for superior craftsmanship and performance.

Responsive Thermocouples

The thermocouples are carefully selected for their fast response times and dependable performance, ensuring precise temperature control. The standard configuration includes a Type K thermocouple, with an optional upgrade to a Type S thermocouple available on Rampmaster-equipped models for an additional charge. (Contact Pottery Pulse directly if this is of interest.)

Standard Household Plug

If you choose the 120V model, the Copper is designed for convenience, operating on standard North American household voltage and equipped with a typ
